Well this happened..

This is my first ever card replacement out of carelessness.

Not going too hard on myself but I still can't process what lead to this. I was pretty sure I wasn't distracted at the time I used it.

..Anyhow, I'm thankful that no money was "spent" during the period I was unaware it went missing.

It really felt like doomsday when I finally realized, also, thankfully I was able to keep my wits about and immediately called the bank to report my loss.

I may be asking too much, but here's hoping that in future there will be some sort of built-in security in every one of these cards that can alert you via mobile app if it's lost or stolen.
